- Mildpage collects no data. No personal data, no usage data, no analytics, no crash reports sent to us.
- Everything happens on your Mac. The paper texture is generated and drawn locally.
- No network, no ads, no tracking. Mildpage makes no network connections of its own, has no accounts, servers, third-party SDKs or advertising.
- Optional iCloud sync is handled by Apple. If you leave it on, your own settings travel through your own iCloud account.

What Mildpage stores, and where
Settings on your Mac
Mildpage saves your preferences in the standard macOS preferences store inside its App Sandbox container: the selected paper and intensity, your custom papers, desk setups, app rules and per-app papers, schedule, Focus and battery options, and eye-break settings. A small copy of the on/off state and paper name is shared with Mildpage's own widget through a private App Group on your Mac, so the widget can show and change it. This information never leaves your Mac except as described below.
iCloud sync (optional)
When Sync papers and preferences with iCloud is on (Controls → Settings), Mildpage uses Apple's iCloud key-value storage to keep your custom papers and preferences the same on your Macs signed in to the same Apple Account. That data is stored and transferred by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; the developer has no access to it. Turn the option off to keep everything on this Mac only.
Schedule without location
Sunset and sunrise times are calculated on your Mac from a city you pick or coordinates you type. Mildpage does not use Location Services.
Permissions
Mildpage needs no special permissions. The texture is a click-through window that sits above your apps; it does not read your screen, record anything, or use Accessibility or Screen Recording access. If you turn on the optional eye-break notification, macOS asks once whether Mildpage may show notifications. Files are only read or written when you import or export a paper with the standard open and save panels.
What Mildpage does not do
- It does not connect to the internet or to any server run by the developer.
- It does not include advertising, analytics or tracking code, and does not use the advertising identifier.
- It does not capture, read or upload what is on your screen.
- It does not sell, share or rent information, because it does not collect any.
Children
Mildpage is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Any change will keep the same principle: your settings stay yours.
